About the Author
Simon Sebag Montefiore is a British historian, writer, and broadcaster. He is the author of numerous bestselling books, including Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar, Jerusalem: The Biography, and The Romanovs: 1613–1918. His work has been translated into over forty languages and has won numerous awards, including the Costa Book Award and the Duff Cooper Prize.
Montefiore is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and a regular contributor to the BBC and The New Yorker. He lives in London with his wife, the novelist Santa Montefiore.
